LDA Engineering leads charge on STEM initiatives in East Tennessee, contributes $250,000 in funding and employee time
LDA Engineering will commit $250,000 of employee volunteer time and financial donations over the next 10 years to school systems in Tennessee communities where its employees work, live and serve, the company announced Thursday at a ribbon-cutting event celebrating its new Blount County office. The civil and environmental engineering firm will make contributions to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education initiatives in several Tennessee school districts. LDA is launching the initiative in conjunction with its move to a new office space at Tyson Centre in Alcoa.
The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Tennessee has awarded LDA Engineering an Engineering Excellence award for a project in Alcoa, Tennessee.
The City of Knoxville selected LDA Engineering to develop a long-term management and maintenance plan and provide engineering consultation on the iconic Fountain City Lake.

Founders Park selected Project of the Year
The Tennessee Chapter of American Public Works Association (TCAPWA) has awarded Founders Park in Johnson City as the Project of the Year.
As the winner of the state award, the project will be entered into the national American Public Works Association Project of the Year competition next fall.

LDA Engineering has announced the hiring of Mark Harrison, P.E., P.G., as client service manager to provide engineering project management and client services to the Chattanooga metro area, including North Georgia and North Alabama.
