LDA Engineering is excited to welcome Jason Elliott, PE, CPESC, to the firm’s leadership team. Based in our Alcoa office, Jason is joining LDA’s team as a Senior Project Manager and Associate Engineer. He will be managing civil and transportation projects as part of a team working with clients to build stronger, happier communities across Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Southeast region.
Jason has over 21 years of experience in transportation and civil infrastructure engineering, specializing in roadway and railroad projects. He is experienced in directing the design and production of plans for large infrastructure improvement projects. Jason has also managed construction projects, most notably repairing Hurricane Katrina damage to bridges, roadways, storm sewer, and traffic signals for the City of Biloxi, Mississippi.
Jason has worked on transportation improvement projects ranging from roadway widening, to replacing traffic signals with roundabouts, to expanding greenways and pedestrian facilities. As a practicing transportation engineer with an educational background in environmental engineering, Jason is mindful of environmental quality issues.
“It is my goal to improve my community through every project that I work on. By reducing traffic congestion, not only do transportation projects improve air quality, but they also make for happier drivers by eliminating unnecessary delays and traffic jams.”
Jason is a veteran of the armed forces, having served five years active duty as a U.S. Navy Seabee from 1989 to 1995. His public service includes two terms on the Traffic Safety Advisory Board for the City of Oak Ridge (TN), with one term as Board Chair. He and his family live in Oak Ridge, where his wife is a kindergarten teacher and his daughter is a senior in high school. In his spare time, Jason enjoys kayaking, fishing, and landscaping.
