LDA Engineering Receives Awards at the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards

May 6, 2026

LDA Engineering was honored this week by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) at the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. for its work on two projects throughout the past year.

The annual Engineering Excellence Awards highlight engineering companies that demonstrate innovative efforts to improve the community and world.

LDA was recognized for its innovative work on the West Walnut Street Corridor Redevelopment in Johnson City, Tennessee. This project transformed a blighted industrial corridor into a vibrant, multimodal urban boulevard linking East Tennessee State University (ETSU) to the heart of downtown Johnson City. The space includes features like ADA compliant protected bike lanes, expanded sidewalks, urban landscaping and a new pedestrian plaza, creating a more walkable and vibrant city.

LDA also earned recognition for its work on the City of Belle Meade Asset Management Plan. Working closely with the City of Belle Meade, Tennessee, LDA assisted with the transition of a paper-based asset management system to an advanced digital model. This effort transformed how the city records and manages data related to its underground sewer systems. The City of Belle Meade now has access to real-time digital results, allowing for more efficient and effective asset management.

“Being recognized by the ACEC reflects the dedication, creativity and commitment of the LDA team to making a meaningful impact,” said Zack Daniel, President of LDA Engineering. “We take great pride in partnering with our clients to build stronger, happier communities.”

LDA Engineering is grateful to be recognized among an inspiring group of dedicated innovators.
