LDA Engineering is proud to announce that Danielle Ursprung has been selected for the prestigious Water Professionals Leadership Academy (WPLA) class of 2026, an honor reserved for the most promising leaders in the water sector. At LDA, Ursprung is active in the firm’s Associates Leadership Program where she engages associates, principals, and shareholders to step into a new chapter of growth, challenge, and impact.

This distinguished program develops the next generation of leaders in the water industry through training sessions and team building activities that incorporate personal and professional development.
Danielle’s goal is to emerge from this program with a deeper understanding of how she can contribute strategically to her organization and community. She wants to be someone others look to for leadership in water resources planning, innovation, and advocacy.
An emerging leader already, Ursprung proactively launched and led recycling initiatives within the LDA Engineering office, showcasing her proactivity and passion for environmental responsibility.
Ursprung is currently working on stormwater retrofits that integrate urban bioretention and natural treatment techniques. These projects are cost-effective and offer both volume reduction and water quality improvements. She is also leading a water reuse master-plan, water distribution improvements, and clean water rehabilitation projects throughout Middle Tennessee, promoting resilience and sustainability.
Ursprung previously served as a Water Resource Engineer at Biohabitats, where she worked on nature-based infrastructure projects, designed rainwater harvesting systems, modeled site water balances, and supported implementation of decentralized wastewater treatment systems.
LDA Engineering is a Sustaining Sponsor of the Water Professionals Leadership Academy and is proud to support Danielle, the program coordinators, and the WPLA Class of 2026.
