AMERICAN COUNCIL OF ENGINEERING COMPANIES AWARDS LDA PROJECTS

March 19, 2014

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Tennessee has awarded LDA Engineering four Engineering Excellence awards for projects in Tennessee.

“We are so honored that the ACEC recognizes our commitment to excellence in our work,” said Jason Brooks, president and CEO of LDA Engineering. “We’re proud of the dedication and creativity of our teams that worked on these projects, and thankful that each of the projects are benefiting the communities they serve.”

LDA Engineering won Grand awards for the Spring Creek 1A: Horizontal Directional Drilling project in Morristown, Tenn., and for the Founders Park project in Johnson City, Tenn. The rehabilitation of Spring Creek brought the creek’s sub-basin in compliance with an administrative order from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Founders Park addressed crippling flooding issues in the historic district of downtown Johnston City by rehabilitating two creeks and helped reignite economic and cultural growth with the development of a city-owned park.

For the Morristown Stormwater Planning and Program Management and Citico Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation project in Chattanooga, Tenn., LDA Engineering received Honor Awards. The Morristown project improved a variety of frequent flooding problems throughout the City. The Citico Creek project restored a wastewater interceptor and decreased pollution of Tennessee’s waterways.

“At LDA Engineering, our team approaches each project with creativity and a commitment to excellence,” Brooks said. “We are thankful to our employees, partners and clients who help us achieve this level of success in every job.”
