The City of Oak Ridge is currently responding to an Administrative Order (AO) issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). LDA was selected to provide program management services related to the AO.
As program manager, LDA Engineering acts as an extension of City staff. Along with its program management duties, LDA completed system studies, visiting 30 pump stations and the wastewater treatment plant. The City of Oak Ridge has 34 sewage pump stations, all pumping to a single 30 MGD pump station which pumps into the wastewater treatment plant.
The condition of each station was rated with special attention to SCADA and telemetry. Each station was also put into a Geographic Information System (GIS), and linked with the City’s Information Management System for the purpose of record keeping and work order generation.
LDA also assisted the City in sizing and specifying diesel backup pumps for emergency use at the stations. Upgrades to two stations are presently under construction.Back to Projects
