Michael has over 12 years of experience in civil infrastructure drafting/design with 4 years background in surveying. He has worked closely with engineers to transform survey data into construction drawings for Federal, State and Local agencies including water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway design, and bridges.

LDA is part of the team designing improvements to the 250 MGD WTP. Our team is specifically responsible for designing improvements to the south secondary effluent line, yard piping, and site/civil components of the program. Michael has worked on various tasks throughout the project. He has updated base maps using record drawings, rerouted existing piping, proposed yard piping layout, site design, and grading.
LDA Engineering in on a project team to design a Riverfront Trail in Haysi, Virginia, that will increae access to and the enjoyment of the rive that runs behind Haysi’s Main Street. Michael created design models and site plans for the riverfront walkway along the Russell Fork River.
A resort development in Carter County, Tennessee including villas, condos, a resort, and a lodge, Michael’s role was to provide base mapping and create a conceptual roadway plan to meet the clients needs of obtaining access to various site locations.
The East Oakland Avenue improvements project Includes widening from two-lanes to three-lanes (addition of center-turn lane) with new sidewalks, increased culvert capacity, road realignment, and stormwater modeling. Michael has been the lead CAD Designer for the project. He built the roadway corridor design model for the proposed three lane road with sidewalks, accesible ramps, crosswalks, and new driveway connections.
CAD DESIGNER, CITY OF KINGSPORT, ANNUAL PUMP STATION REPLACEMENT, KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE (2018-PRESENT)
LDA assists the City of Kingsport with their annual pump station replacement program. Michael created the site demo, proposed yard piping, and mechanical plans for the replacement of the Oak Glen Pump Station.
CAD DESIGNER, WOOD ENVIRONMENTAL & INFRASTRUCTURE, SR 459 MITIGATION HENDERSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE (2018)
Michael’s role in the project was to utilize MicroStation following TDOT standards to incorporate the natural channel stream design for the relocation of two streams to make way for bridge construction on SR-459, Lexington Bypass.
