Lauran is a native of Maryville, Tennessee. While attending Maryville College, Lauran worked as the service manager and event coordinator at RT Lodge. With a background in finance and banking as well as small business operations, she has a strong foundation and a passion for helping businesses succeed. Joining LDA Engineering in February 2013 as client service analyst, she draws upon her past experiences to spearhead the company’s marketing and promotional efforts. Lauran is also directly involved in the project management process, driving the business systems and tools we use to deliver our work product. She brings value to our clients, working to continually improve client services. Lauran has been vital in the preparation of marketing and informational materials as well as client proposals.
Lauran worked closely with the project team to develop public information materials. The materials were used to explain the upcoming changes to the lake, the project schedule, the reasoning for the project, and other vital information. The materials were used at various public meetings, as well as by the City to guide the public meeting.
PLANNING COMMITTEE MEMBER, WATER FOR LIFE PUBLIC EDUCATION EVENT, VARIOUS LOCATIONS, TENNESSEE & KENTUCKY (2014-2015)
She worked on the volunteer, sponsorship, and advertising committees for public education events in Chattanooga, TN and Covington, KY. Her work included site coordination, event logistics, and coordinating with 192 companies and consulting firms involved in the event. Lauran also identified advertising opportunities and target attendance groups in each of the locations.
Lauran was part of the conference planning committee for the statewide conference. Her specific contributions included social media and advertising, working with over 50 companies to gather logos, and creating sponsors recognition banner. In addition, she assisted with site coordination and logistics for the entire conference.
As one of the founding members, Lauran created a social media page and developed content, acts as a YP liaison at chapter meetings, and plans the quarterly meetings. Meeting planning includes site selection and coordination, advertising/social media, tracking attendees and RSVP’s, securing sponsorships, and selecting topics and presenters. In addition, she created informational and promotional marketing material to use at the state conference and for new members.
Currently, Lauran manages all marketing activities including budgeting, planning company events both internal and external, social media management, and content development for the company website.
Also, Lauran creates press releases, provides public outreach on projects including developing informational materials and interacting with local residents, as well as develops specific public outreach plans for projects.
